Fredrick Peterson came to WSU in 1990 as the first chief academic officer of the Spokane campus, where he taught graduate courses on leadership. Now he is a professor in the Leadership Studies program, in which he teaches the core courses on leadership at both the Spokane and Pullman campuses. In addition, he teaches courses on Chinese and Western civilizations in the WSU Honors College.
Dr. Peterson codirected national institutes on leadership under the auspices of the Association of American Colleges & Universities. More recently, he has been active in the International Leadership Association. He is a member of the WSU President’s Teaching Academy and is also president of Informed Leadership International.
